Problem Gambling and
How it is Affecting Teens

There are many different ways to gamble and often times, it is nearly impossible to identify a gambling problem in someone. Many times, it is believed that teenagers and children are not affected by gambling as you must be 18 or older to do so. However, there are signs to look out for and points to be made aware of with gambling.
This presentation will identify the different types of gambling, the impacts of gambling on others, and how easy it is for teens to gamble.

Volunteers Needed for Girls on the Run of the Southern Tier Celebratory 5K!
Running Buddies, Finishing Fairies, Superheroes of All Finishers - And More!

What is a Girls on the Run Running Buddy?
The Running Buddy provides encouragement and support and acts as a personal cheerleader for a GOTR Girl by attending the practice 5k and the end of season 5k. The Running Buddy has the following responsibilities:
- Attend the practice 5k for their GOTR Girl's site (day/time varies by team)
- Walks/Runs with their GOTR Girl in the end of season 5k Celebration on Sunday, June 8th at 9 a.m. at Campbell-Savona High School

What are "Finishing Fairies" and "Superheroes of All Finishers"?
Community leaders, lovers of walking & running and fellow do-gooders who monitor the 5k course by following our runners and making sure that all children have cleared the course safely.
- Positively encourage the children, sprinkle them with glitter, or provide them with great energy cheers
- Fun apparel is highly encouraged and can include superhero capes, crowns, tutus, tiaras, feather boas, or just a favorite tshirt and pair of shorts -whatever is most comfortable!
